Just bought them on the 26th of Dec and hope to have them here by
the 31st of Dec.  Will be using Audio Research tubes at least at the
outset.  Yes, I am excited.

hello Hibuckhobby,

I have a similar setup using  floorstander 2 ways and have tubes powering them as well and really like the sound.  Do you have the Audio Research radiators for cold Minnesota winters or the more efficient 60watters?  :green:

What help do you need? You're gonna love 'em, I would think. Wonderfully musical speaker from the few times I've heard them. Strong bass output for a w 2 way. Very detailed w/out being 'hyperanalytical'

Maybe one thing to try if you want to spend money, is high pass them and get a GR Research servo sub (or 2). Then you have good mid bass slam from the Lor's and the bottom from the sub(s)

The few times I've heard AR, they sounded pretty neutral to me. Not overly lush. Should be a good match.

I have the SP16 preamp and the VS110 amp.  The Lorelei's are in FedEx' hands and should show
up at my door tomorrow.  I'm originally from Minn...but now in No. Illinois, just south of the Wi. border.
regards,
Hibuck...
