Percentage of posts moved from Genaral Audio
« on: 27 Dec 2009, 09:21 pm »
I notice there are a large percentage of threads that get moved to other areas and not just the Intergalactic Wastebin. It seems if you have an audio question or observation it will usually fit in some other place, so, what makes up a General Audio subject?  Is there a more indepth description of what's General Audio archived somewhere?

I guess this thread will land in the Pub, see you there. :duh:

I recently posted a topic about racks in the General Audio circle.  Looked at all the other circles, and it didn't seem to fit in any of them.

And it's still in General Audio!

From the faciliator's opening thread;

" Welcome to the General Audio Circle!

Before starting a thread, please check that it doesn't belong in one of the more specific circles!

I want to encourage a friendly atmosphere here.  We're all on the same train."

It's his call on how he does things. The option to volunteer exists for everyone who wants to make a difference in how things are done.  :thumb:

Any subject that doesn't get moved to a more appropriate Circle. :thumb:

IMHO, Larry/lcrim is doing a fine job of making sure posts end up in the right place when OP's may not know exactly where to start.

Have fun,
Jerry

Yes he is, however the forum members are getting a D- for not even trying to post to the right forums in most cases. Seriously folks it's not rocket science, yet you see questions about tubes and cable stuff here almost hourly. Let's make Larry's job easier peeps. :nono:

I want to thank you guys for the words of support.

General Audio discussions are just that.  They are not about headphones solely or cables solely or any other topic which already have dedicated Circles.  I did feel that there would be a period of adjustment because previously there was a tendency to post everything here.

If the other Circles cover the bases that well, thats a positive thing.  There have been a number of threads that did involve some lively discussions that would  not otherwise have had a home.
