Hi: first post...

I'm looking for an inexpensive set for a bedroom stereo. I'm using the Sharp SG-11 which puts out 25 watts @ 6 ohm. These speakers seem to be sensitive enough...

Looks like you got in the Sharp SDSG11 blowout also!  I haven't heard the Heybrooks, but 've heard it with the JM Reynauds, the NHT 2.5is as well as a pair of Athena ASB1's and it sounds good with all of them even the relatively inefficient NHT's.   My housemate runs it with the Athenas upstairs and she seems to find them quite to their liking.  I admit, the sound coming from the athenas are clear, articulate, and the bass is nice and strong and the best thing is they are dirt cheap.   However, I'd prefer something a little "warmer" and if I was looking for speakers to pair them up with, I'd lean towards something like the lowend Tannoys or even DIY ones that uses the Tangband speakers.

I know the speakers mentioned above have nothing to do with your Heybooks, but I thought that I'd complicate your decision a bit by suggesting other relatively cheap and inefficient speakers.

In trying to refresh my memory about the Heybrook line, I found a pair on Agon--

Certainly a substantial discount.  Audio Advisor used to carry the Heybrooks didn't they??

Sorry that I've never heard them, so can't offer any enlightened opinion (of course, that's never stopped me from posting BEFORE!).
