RM 40 Grills

I was just going to put my grills in the attic, when I noticed that the fabric had started pulling away from the frame.

This was the first time I had looked at my grills since I unpacked the speakers and moved them to a corner of the room.

Just curious if others have had any problems or if I am unlucky yet again!

I also noticed that the fabric wasn't stapled on, but adhered with some substance (the inside of the grill frame is still tacky to the touch, but not holding the fabric anymore).

Steples leave marks on the front baffle in transit.  You can use one on the grill now if you wish to hold the cloth.

Brian,

Makes sense on the staples, but why is the fabric coming off?

Should the inside of the frame be tacky still?

We stretch the cloth tightly for maximum transparency.  The frame should still be tacky but I suggest some additional spray glue (Scotch 77), or a staple,  to make sure the cloth  holds to the frame.
