I occassionally check the used LPs at a local used book store and found two "volumes" that were/are part of a larger, 17 volume boxed set that Deutsche Grammaphone created. I bought one of the volumes (string quartets) as it looked to be in super condition. I'd like to know if anyone here has any experience with this set, such as the quality of the performances and the recordings. I've tried to search online for info but haven't seen much, other than a few random for sale listings on ebay. I haven't listened to it yet as my wife said it had to get wrapped and go under the Christmas tree.
