It may be an illusion, but the tops of those 4700uF electrolytic’s in the 400 look bulged.

These units look like authentic AVA units built into Dyna chassis in 1989.

All should still be very nice sounding if in good working order.  They were very durable and we can still service them (except for the front end assembly in the tuner).

These are probably worth bidding on.

The 4700uF 80V caps look just fine to me.

Frank,

Out of curiosity, do you have one of each of your designs?  So basically and "log" of your career up to this point?

I keep one shirt from each team that I've worked on...kinda the same idea.

Again, just curious.

No, I do not have a storage warehouse full of our old electronics.  We have the build plans and schematics for allmost all of them though and lots of spare parts so we can service many of the very old ones.

Shirts are a lot easier to store.  :)

I have a Dyna 416 with rack mount and handles and LED VUs. I think I like the way this 400 looks better then my 416. It looks very clean too and I know it sounds a hell of a lot better then my stock 416!

I have a MOS-FET 200B that gets daily use in the HT (probably 6 hours a day, on average).  Sounds good, and rugged beyond belief.
