Certain digital amps, Panasonic SA-XR45 and probably others accept direct digital input from a CD player and then off the bits go for mysterious amplification.  I occasionally play Internet Radio off of Real Audio feeds.  I have it set up so that I use a USB output cable that goes to my amp.  Of course, my amp, not being a digital amp, expects analogue input. But my computer is outputting digital via the USB cable. So I get my input D-A with a little in-line converter.

My question is will I be able to feed the digital Internet output directly from the USB into a digital amp somehow? That could sound pretty good.

Thanks for any answers.

my USB M-Audiophile external soundcard accepts USB and converts it to SP/DIF digital output, there are other products on the market that do as well.   I am not sure if the current gammet of digital receivers has USB inputs.
