Hi

Has anyone ever used the older Classe dac 1 ?

I was told that, even today, it still is a good dac.

I have the chance to pick one up at $850.00 and am considering it.

I had the Classe DAC for home demo years ago.

I remember it being mildly dry, mildly cool, dynamic, and not of the "warm" school. 

For $850, I would personally pick from a variety of other used DAC's myself..

What speakers are those in your 2-CH system?  I don't recall seeing them before and they look cool.
