FS: DIY parts for Musical Machine PP 6v6 amp
« on: 3 Dec 2009, 03:28 pm »
Ok, this time it's for real :-).  The DHT bug has hit and appears to be incurable, so everything else must go.

I'm offering an incomplete set of parts to get somebody going on a very nice Audio Tropic Musical Machine PP 6V6 amp.  Parts include a pair of custom Silk P10-15 output transformers with a single 6 ohm secondary (good for both 4 and 8 ohm speakers), 5 octal Azuma chassis mount tube sockets (one for the rectifier), 4 NOS 7 pin ceramic sockets for the 6gk5 driver tubes, your choice of either copper foil or tin foil Ampohm PIO .33 uF coupling caps (matched quad) a few assorted resistors, 4 NOS Hitachi 6gk5s, 4 NOS Sylvania gray glass, black plate 6V6s, and one TAD GZ-34.

All items are brand new, never been used or soldered to, with the exception of the GZ34, which was very, very lightly used just to make sure it was good (i.e. less than 2 hours).

The price for the lot is $300, which is far less than the price of the transformers and 6v6s alone.  This is a steal of a deal and as such, the price is firm, but also includes shipping in lower 48 and no paypal fee to the buyer.

Need to move this quickly, so that's why the give-away pricing.

Thanks,

Jim

This is a sweet deal. I know how much thought Jim put into the purchase of the parts, so you can bet that he chose well. Tempting, so tempting but I need another amp like a hole in the head. Someone buy this before money escapes from my pocket.

Mike,

Thanks, and as you can imagine, it's not fun having to part with something that has had so much thought and planning put into it, but you understand, I'm sure.

I've got a sale pending, so you can hold on to your wallet :D.

Thanks for the bump,

Jim

Good to know Jim because I really don't need to spend more money on amps. :)
