It took a while for these speakers to break in, but they sound great.  A good friend of mine built the cabinets out of birch ply, while Rick made the crossover.  They use Audio Technology (Skaaning) 7" mids, and Scan-Speak tweeters.  They have a full bodied and rounded presentation, with great bass articulation.  Sorry for the ugly looking room, I'm the process of experimenting with acoustical panel positioning before I paint and treat it.  Enjoy the Pics.

Very nice Andy.
What sensitivity are they?
Interesting place for a port, I kind of like it.  And the roundover on the ply adds some stripped style too, nice.

I second that.  Those round over details on plain ply with simple coating are a refresher from all the veneer and varnish present everywhere else.   :thumb:

+3 on the funky stripes with the revealed birch ply.

I especially dig the port rings!

Thanks for all the complments guys.  I believe the sensitivity is somewhere around 85 or 86 db, so not sensitive, but it gets plenty loud with my amp.
