Build Your Own Audio Level Meter
« on: 19 Nov 2009, 02:37 pm »
A friend, Steve Lafferty, has just completed a detailed article on how to construct a seriously good Audio Level Meter. Steve is an excellent engineer and life-long audio enthusiasts.

If you'd like to read his how-to article, go to http://www.tronola.com/ and click on the Audio Level Meter link. Even if you're not interested in building the ALM, the article is worth reading as an excellent example of technical writing.

Very nice. That would be a handy gadget to have, might have to add that to the someday project list.

I thought that this was about a cal mic and an SPL meter, but it's not!  It's like a VU meter connected to the output of your amplifier.
Steve also has a neat sine wave tone generator.
