Hey Wayner, I just saw a rotating photo of you in the gallery hanging with Mikey Fremer.  What gives?  In my book, that kind of makes you a big deal now...

Seeing Fremer kind of reminds me of the spoof movie "Anchorman: The Legend of Ron Burgundy (Will Ferrell)"  I can imagine Fremer spouting off like that line "I don't know how to put this, but, I'm kind of a big deal."

The flute lead solo by Ron Burgundy in the bar is funny beyond belief. Does Fremer play flute.

Over the years, I have emailed him on certain issues. When Frank Van Alstine and I went to the RMAF, we ran into him at the exibitor's happy hour at the bar. We talked to him for about a half hour and shared some stories, but I'm not sure if he connected me with my email questions. Frank asked him to come and see the AVA/SALK room and he did, rather enjoying the room and was impressed with both Jim's speakers and Frank's new Ultravalve amp. I had my camera and Oneinthepipe was standing there along with Mary Salk. I think Mary took the picture.

Sorry, no big shot here. Just had the opportunity for a photo op with Mikey. He seems like a nice guy and very approachable.

I wish I went to one of his TT seminars at the RMAF. I guess he had one on Friday and Saturday.

That's great to hear.  I think he has done a great service for the vinyl community in waving the flag and revitalizing it over the recent years.  I use to really dig the tracking angle when it was in print.  I still check in on his website now. 

I want to see his DVD on tt set up.  I did see "It's a vinyl world" (from netflicks) and it was very informative and entertaining.

I agree.  He sure has been responsible for a lot of purchases I have made over the years.
