I am looking for some ideas on large scale digitization. A few thousand records. I am talking about having 6 or so turntables going at the same time. I am looking for quality, but am definitely on a budget. These tables would be running for hours, so would need to be workhorses. Time is of the essence. This is more for archival purposes than hifi drooling, but no reason to make them sound like poo. Some questions include. 
Best budget phono usb Preamp/Interface?
Best turntable for the job?
Managing the vast data stream?
Etc.?

6 - Audio Technica cartridges
6 - Hagerman Technology Rippers http://www.hagtech.com/ripper.html, build them yourself and then sell them at cost and not lose any money

careful with Netbooks. They suck for I/O applications. Part of the low energy consumption and price is the minimization of buffers and combining many tasks within a single Atom processor.

This is what i have had in mind, however it seems like this project may upscale soon, and now budget is even more of a priority. I understand resale must be kept in mind because there will be no use for these items once the needle drop is complete. A few questions on where the purchase will matter the most.
Audio Technica at 120 (technics clone) vs. Technics 1200
good cartridge vs. better cartridge
art audio usb phono pre vs. hagerman or project.

Here on AC the Technics SL-1200 is better known than the Audio Technica so even though it costs more it would be easier to re-sell.

I like the Hagerman products, they are well designed and sound great but not very well known. How about buying a mix of products to spread out the risk?

I would go with just a good cartridge, take a look at the Grado Green too.

If your albums are very used and scratchy you could look for a cartridge that is not overly bright or has a tipped up high frequency sound.

Any audio guys out there know how I can record multiple inputs from my phono preamps to a controller that would be able to record each stereo signal?
Computer based with software etc.

the ion/numark lp2cd seems intriguing and may fit your needs. they cost between $350-$425 depending on where you look. it's a turntable with an intergrated 700mb memory buffer and cd-r burner so that you can record your vinyl playback and then burn it to a cd without ever connecting it to a computer. it does have a usb connector though if you wanna go straight into a computer. i think it comes with computer software if you want to edit the cd .wav/.mp3 files after completion. here's a review:
