I'm more afraid of the jacket on my THHN 10 gauge AC power cables coming apart.  Anyone ever treat such cables?

Not personally, but I've seen spools of it at Cryogenics International from time-to-time.  The outer jacketing is fairly hardy. Also, I believe Jena Labs has been making power cables with THHN for years, and all their cables are treated via their own immersion process. No problems.

And Lee....I dub thee The Cryogenic Curmudgeon.   :D

Ummm, not sure what period of time qualify as "full conditioning", I had the cable on my amp for about 5-6 weeks...this amp is on 24/7. My impression was formed when I replaced the cryoed cable with a non cryoed version(same type, connectors and all).

Had an experience similar to mjosef - sound was actually noticeably worse from a cryo'd power cable.  Not sure why, and so I must defer to the experts on that...
