I know, I know, before I get blasted by everyone. I currently have the MP unit that I picked up for $300 before the Torus units came out. I'm looking to move to the RM20, but what about video protection (cable/sat) ?  What do all the Torus owners use for that ? Thanks.

Doublej: Thanks, understood (just ensure to ground the cable/sat) plug the video components into the Torus  :thumb:

drummermitchell: Do you ground your cable/sat cable ?

Thanks all!

My Sat is not grounded.I didn't think it had to be.
The manual doesn't say it has to be or even the sat company.
I would think if it was mandatory that they would say.
I have had no troubles with the sat, noise or anything(clear as a bell).
I will say that a year or so ago we had a nasty lightening storm here and I had my computer plugged into a monster conditioner(forget which one) and my audio gear plugged into the Torus(15a)+sat and TV back then.
We'll my computer was toast and the monster(I replaced the computer)chucked the monster :finger:..
The Torus was still on but all amps, components went into standby :thumb:..
i guess I'm getting a little off track( I do tend to get a bit excited).
If my sat isn't causing me grief I don't see a need to ground it,
If she ain't broke why fix it,works for me.
