I have one of the slim profile Insight 240 amps.  Typically I turn the power switch off after use.  Today it is stuck in the on position.  If I apply pressure I can feel some resistance but it does go most the way down.

Anyone have any idea how I can fix this?  I'm hoping I don't have to live without it and send it in to Frank.

Do most people turn theirs off?  Does it burn much power when on but not in use?

Power switches are pretty easy to replace, so maybe you can have Frank send you a replacement switch as oneinthepipe suggests.

I would recommend that you do get it fixed though, one way or the other.

The guys are right, simply call me and I will send you a new power switch.

Unless - - - your 240 is built in an old Dyna St-150 chassis using their original power switch.  If that is the case we will need to see the amplifier to fix it.  It requires taking the switch apart and de-burring the contacts as there are no new replacement power switches to fit that special application.

The power switches in all new AVA chassis units have internal red power lamps.  The Dyna switch was not lighted, the on indication was on the other side of the faceplate, done with some small T53 light bulbs.

Let me know which version you have.

In case you read this before then, I have the newer model with the red switch. Is there any soldering or special tools involved? I have not worked on electronics.
