finished my chime!!!!Blew a fuse doh!!
« on: 29 Oct 2009, 06:39 am »
I need to know is the right value for 410 r and l is 10000 uf 10 v?
I went to another sight and i put 47 uf 350 v caps in instead as i saw on that sight.
What is the right value?
Second can anyone explain the hookup of the stock digikey power cord a bit better than the instructions?
I took a look at my clarinet and my cornet 2 for how to hook it up but i might of made a mistake?
third i had some 1 uf 400 v caps.Their quite large but i was able to fit them.I assume this will be ok?
t 500 how do i tell the proper orentation?Do i line up the dot on the part with the dot on the board?
fourth y 100.I went off the pic in the manuel and insalled it with the writeing in the same place towards the controls. Is this right?
Tommorow i get this thing up and running.I just need to rule out any obvious questions.
Any help thanks!

Oh it says the inputs are switched on this revised manuel. Is this the left for the right or the input for the outout?

I went over everything it's wired right.
410 in my schematic is 10000 uf 10v.I think it must be this.Is that part 47 uf or 10000uf?
Looking at the pic in the manuel it looks like a 47 uf part 450v?

Ok i found my problem:(
It's 47 uf.not 10000.
What i did was pop out a trace on u401 while i was moveing it around.
I'm going to pop it into place and resolder it.I think this might not work.
Do i add a wire on the backside of the board?
This is option too:(
help!

Sounds like you are ironing out the wrinkles.

Can you share any pics of your project?

Good luck with the fire up process.

The signal outputs are swapped LR.  Just change the external cables.  Much easier than trying to cut up the insides.
