SOLD Boston A40 Series II Speakers, Rosewood, new woofers, orig box and packing

A real classic known for their excellent sound quality.

Purchased new in 1989, but have received only sporatic use through the years. A couple years ago the woofers ripped their foam surrounds. I was keeping the A40's around to give to my kids so I replaced the drivers with new woofers directly from Boston, a $70 investment. The kids are into their MP3 players so no interest in Daddy's classics.

The cabinets are in good condition, other than some shallow holes in the back where they were mounted to wall brackets. The holes do not penetrate to the cavity and do not affect the sound, but are sealed with caulk for good measure.

I'd like the speakers to find a new home where they will be used and appreciated.

$100 obo.
