Just wanted to get this out early to gauge interest...

The MiniMax will be coming to me shortly after CES...
The IRD Purist is maybe about 3 weeks away...
Thanks to curtis and Mike Dzurko, I'll have the ACI Sapphires in my possession after CES...
Thanks to Robert Schult and Tsunami, I should have the Ridge Street Audition pack in my hands today.

Seems logical to start hosting some listening sessions after CES then!!!

Other than the regular gang, anyone else interested in attending? I'm located in Los Angeles...

Comparisons will include:

Speakers: Onix Ref 1s and ACI Sapphires
Preamps: IRD Purist, MiniMax, and Aragon Aurum
Cables: Ridge Street cables, Zu Varial, Onix Blue RCA, Onix Grand Master digital, Onix SP-200 speaker cable...

hmm...the regular gang seems kind of sparse...may have to start a membership drive to increase these numbers...

Should I ruin my perfect record for missing these sessions?

I noticed I am not part of the regular gang.

As always, I will try to come, but you guys know better then to count on me. I would like to bring my DIY TVC based preamp, and possibly another preamp I am building right now, if the stars line up and I actually make it.

tentative target dates that i'm thinking of at this time are Jan 17 or 24th...please let me know which dates are better for y'all...

Now that school has cut me some slack, I might like to attend as well. Since I'm actually in SD, let me know what date is finalized and I'll be up that weekend. Actually, I think I'm the guy who's auditioning the preamp before you, so maybe I'll go ahead and bring it along also.

That is, if you're not in a hurry for it and if I get it soon.

Besides that though, I don't think I have much else to offer. My system is pretty run-of-the-mill. Perhaps I can bring refreshments or something of that nature?

i am probably as close to LA as calabassas. maybe this time i shold bring my spendor s3/5s. they are easlily transported.

maybe some different program material or do you wish some of the same? osamu?

the 24th is better for me, i am on call the previous week and would possibly not make it or have to leave.

If it's on the 24th (Mom's B-day the 17th) I'm interested... if I'm invited. Also, if anyone's interested, I'll bring my Ellis' 1801F's (to conduct a similar ACI, Onix, Ellis comparison as the one on AVS I believe), ack dack!, and dodd pre-amp... Sounds like fun! What part of LA?

everyone who is interested in coming will not be able make it on the same day so i've decided to host 2 sessions...one on this sat 1/17 and another one next sat 1/24...both will start at around 1pm...the 1/17 session will only have the minimax and aragon aurum though...the cables will still be available for comparisons though....the ACI Sapphires will be present as well. both sessions should be a blast...

please PM me w/ your email address and the date you plan to attend so i can email you directions...thanks...looking forward to meeting some more AC members...
