GAS - Role Call
« on: 19 Oct 2009, 08:02 pm »
Hiya Guys,

Over the past year or two we've seen one heck of a growth in our group. The proof was the nearly 50 people that showed up at the annual GAS Christmas in September Bash this last month.

With the growth has come total disorganization on my behalf (so what else is new). What I'd like to do in this thread is get everybody in GAS to reply in some form or fashion. In addition, I would like to also get your current email address so we have an updated central repository of the GAS members. In turn, I will distribute it to Tim (Electricbear) and SteveK so that in the event I get hit by a Budweiser truck, somebody else has our membership data.

I've been talking to a couple of the other members offline trying to think of ways to get us more active (ie; quasi-regular gatherings or activities of some sort). As it stands, we only have two to three major gatherings a year. I'm not looking to use this thread to start those discussions, that is for a different time, but what I think the first step would be is to get an updated list of members and email addresses.

Do me a favor and either reply to this post directly, PM me or send me an email with your email address. If you are worried about the spam-bots grabbing your email address you can post it like this (this one is mine);

joeaudiophile-hughes.net    -OR-    joeaudiophile at hughes dot net    -OR-    some other creative way of getting your email across.

I know we have several lurkers that don't post but often attend our gatherings. If you are one of the lurkers or know one of them, be sure to have them send me an email too.

THANKS!

Bob in St. Louis

As a well known lurker, I will surface for a moment.  I still read GAS regularly - usually daily.  Lately I have been listening to a mint refurbished Marantz 2238B receiver with my Cain and Cain Abbeys - just wonderful for easy listening.  Good looking and well made.  Hi to everyone - alex

. . . nearly 50 people that showed up at the annual GAS Christmas in September Bash this last month.

50 people in one area and GAS sounds like a BIG problem to me.   :rotflmao:

Closet Mac user, my butt!  No stinkin' PC use will ever cross MY doorstep!

Oh, wait a minute.  I have a closet full of Macs from over 20 years.  Does that make me a closet Mac user??

No, BobinSTL, I am not coming out of the closet for anybody, not even you.   :nono: :lol:
