Subtract the playback room acoustics

...thats a little complicated, if we doesn`t want correct the response, but the time. The way is described on the www.holophony.net website:

"The main advantage of wave field synthesis seems hardly take in account until. In difference regarding all other audio reproduction principles the synthesis provides access at each component of the sound event. No other principle is able for manipulate direct wave, first reflections and reverberation in different manner during playback, because all of those signals merge together on the recording site.

By that reason wave field synthesis opens utterly new possibilities for eliminate problems of audio reproduction, which estimate unsolvable until today. For implementing that advantage, we have to scrutinize the prevalent system approach. The transmitting chain includes the way from microphone to loudspeaker. But the most significant signal changes arise, if the speakers have done its work. If we want congruent perception, the inclusion of the playback room properties into system approach seems substantially."

Interesting approach ?

I just read about one system using some of the wave field synthesis approach at http://blog.ultimateavmag.com/ultimate-tech/true_stereo/
