FS: Vista Audio i-34 integrated amp.........MINT! SOLD

I am original owner of this amp since March 2008. I purchased it as a demo directly from Vista. It is 100% identical to one you would buy brand new today. Vista is local, so to my knowledge it has never been shipped.

Five months remain on the warranty, and Boris has agreed to honor it for the new owner.

Fresh new tube set: JJ E34-L Blue Glass, used approx. 300 hrs.

Boris repaired a power supply resistor in March 2009, so the amp has
received a thorough check-up and clean bill of health.

As the photos show, this amp is extremely clean. Barely a mark on it. Operationally, it is perfect. Dead quiet with very low noise floor.

Search this board and others for all the positive comments.
To my ear, this amp strikes that difficult balance between SS and tube.
It is very fast, dynamic, and detailed, with a touch of tube warmth,
richness and holography.

I think the magic is in the transformers. They are big and heavy, and appear to be very good quality. The amp subjectively punches harder than its modest 35 wpc would suggest. Very robust and gutsy, yet still delicate and smooth sound.

This amp is a simple no fuss / no muss affair that is very solidly built, and easy to use and maintain. It's reputation is for superlative value, and many believe it rivals offerings at much higher price points. It will satisfy the experienced tube lover, or provide an excellent entry point for the tube newbie.

Comes complete with owners manual and all original packing materials.
Also included are the original JJ E34-L power tubes. They have hrs on them
but can be used as spares.

I have really enjoyed this amp. Simply selling for more inputs, and the convenience of a remote.

Crazy good at that price I borriwed Jim Hogg's for a while really nice amp. Snag this one quick it wont last long

You're in good hands with Boris!

He's one of the good guys in audio.

BTW, I think his phono section is the jewel in the Vista lineup. I have now owned it long enough for initial thrill to have long subsided.....and it sill holds up.

I have now compared it to three very good, pricier, and well regarded tubed phono sections. Do they all sound different? Sure they do. But in terms of overall listener satisfaction, it hangs with all of them. With the Vista price in mind, I keep waiting for it to fall apart. It never does!

As with all things audio, system balance and personal preference will be determinative. But having said that, and having lived with the Vista for awhile, it's difficult to imagine even the experienced and jaded audiophile not appreciating its charms. That's how good it is!

Shopping for a phono stage? This one is silly good at the price, and a no brainer.
