Been on a project in San Antonio this week and last, finally made the 70 mile drive to Austin, always wanted to go but never made it till now. Great town, great music scene, great BBQ, and great Record Shopping. Bought 7 things at Waterloo, great store but a little pricy. But the 'snag', a used 1st pressing of HARVEST. Guy wanted $22 for it, at Breakaway Records, couldn't talk him down any, and so bought it. Later, at Waterloo, saw a HARVEST re-release, shrinkwrapped, for $60. So $22 for a NM used copy didn't hurt so much. Everything else was new at Waterloo.

I wanted the Sloan album but forgot to look for it. I bought these today. Surprised Dylan was still available.

On a more mellow note, Lily and Madeline's latest album, Fumes, and Sufjan Steven's latest, Carrie and Lowell are both excellent. Can be ordered directly from Asthmatic Kitty Records. The direct downloads are also pretty good.

I have an original pressing, the MoFi, the Bootleg series and the RSD, so I guess you could say I like the basement tapes stuff

So jealous of that Beck! I wish Beck or his label would start rereleasing his albums from the first onwards. I want the entire catalog, but it would set me back too much. I'm always watching for Midnight Vultures! Just looked and a "near mint" is about $200.

They don't even have to remaster them!
