The First Annual Amplifier Clinic And Music Extravaganza.

Presented by The Sound Room and St Louis Computronics.

Bring in your amplifiers and have them tested and checked for proper performance.

Special pricing will be available on McIntosh, Classe, Rotel and Audio Quest.

WHERE- The Sound Room in Creve Coeur

WHEN- Saturday October 31st 11am to 3pm

It's for amps, receivers, integrateds etc. There is really no way of testing the power output on a pre. I would think that if you wanted Jeff to go through your preamp you could take it directly to him and for a modest charge he'd put it through it's paces.

I'm definitely coming out and bringing the AES 2A3 amp. Are there any prizes for lowest watts? Worst distortion? Blowing up on the test bench?

Without being "piggish" and hauling every silly piece of equipment I have, robbing time from other members real equipment, I'll be sticking to my Jolida 202a.

One question though.... Most likely a "toob noob" question..... Being a tube amp, would there be any benefit to bringing along a second set of tubes for a second test, or is that silly?

So you want to bring the " small amp" Bryan ?
I have a 4 wheeled dolly that we can use to help bring in any large or heavy amps.
Just pull in to the handicapped spot at the front of the store for off loading then you can move to a proper parking spot.
The prize for blowing up an amp on the bench will be the priceless look on your face

I bet you win in the s/n ratio since mine has hum pots. Not sure about total wattage though, mine is rated at a whopping 2500mW

What!!! Wimpy?? Hell, I don't think my 2A3 will even survive being connected to the test equipment.

And yes, I predict mine will be the worst measuring amp of the day and I hope it doesn't take the test equipment with it.

I'm kinda curious how the Welborne and Ming Da's test too. I'm only thinking about bringing one channel (of the monoblocks).
