stingfan,
This is great! Will it solve the ground loop hum that I suspect is coming from my DirectTV satellite coax connection?
I can't speak for the pricing, but if the problem is as you describe and truly ground loop "hum" - the answer is most assuredly "YES"! In fact, the AID-9 is one of the few sure solutions.
The device that
timothyharnett suggested is designed to be used with cable TV boxes and such... and is not for satellite systems as it does not have the bandwidth needed for them - or at least it is advertised as such. Depending on where in the signal path it is used though and the details of your setup, it might work.
In any case, the AID-9 is really at home when used where long interconnect runs go between your front end and your power amps. It all depends on your configuration, but it is likely the AID-9 will solve the problem if the loop is the result of having you power amp(s) plugged into one AC outlet and your pre-amp/receiver, etc. is plugged into another elsewhere in the room.
Hope this helps.
