The seller did not understand the operation of the switch we added or the extra power supply caps we added.

The capacitors (bunch of big blue ones) were to eliminate a 1/4 volt AC ripple of the tube 12V DC heater circuit.

The switch is to "really" take the tone control circuits out of circuit when they were not being used.  The ARC switch defeated their action, but left a lot of the passive networks still connected.
