Upgrading the OS on a laptop?
« on: 6 Oct 2009, 07:13 am »
I bought a Toshiba laptop last year but never got around to using it, partly because I wasn't too enthused about learning Vista.  Now with the excitement around Windows 7, I'm thinking I should dust it off and upgrade the OS and put it to use before the warranty runs out.  But aren't operating systems uniquely customized for specific laptops?  If so, how much hassle would it be to switch from Vista to Windows 7?

Windows should support your laptop. You might need to download some updated drivers from Toshiba. Give it a shot, you're not using the machine anyway... ;)
