Hi jtwrace,Ok, here is your hint (but please do not hold me to this ) - The larger Series 12 will be less than $1000. The smaller Series 10 will be approx. a couple hundred dollars less than the Series 12. Until pricing is finalized, this is all I can say about it. Thanks for your patience and understanding regarding the price issue...
In the meantime, we'll be getting the detailed webpage (and press release) ready, and soon will be taking orders. Just a couple more weeks, and thanks for all your patience and support. Black Lightning will be well-worth the wait! As always, I'll keep you all posted.
Sorry if this has already been asked and answered - but my amplifier takes is AC powered and does the conversion to DC inside the box. Can Black Lightning be used with components of this kind?
Driver/output supply rails are +/-50V, relay rail +24V, Lineamp Rails +/-18V, opamp supply rails +/-15V and a micro rail of +5V.
Hi Vinnie here's what Plinius has to say about the power supply for this amp:QuoteDriver/output supply rails are +/-50V, relay rail +24V, Lineamp Rails +/-18V, opamp supply rails +/-15V and a micro rail of +5V.It seems like the +/- 50v on the output rails would disqualify it from a Black Lightening mod.
So I was here http://www.tonepublications.com/blog/red-wine-audios-black-lightening-redefines-quiet/ and noticed the use of a Lemo connector. Is this your normal connector of choice or was it just used for the Nagra? Just curious..

Best regards,Vinnie
We are currently taking orders, but are patiently waiting for the custom packing material (essential to make sure that your Black Lightning and charger arrives safely, and we use some nice packaging ).Should be able to begin shipping in early December (depending on when your order is placed). Perfect timing - right before the holidays Vinnie
Hi Vinnie,I'd like to take my AudioSector Patek amp and SinglePower MPX3 head-amp (being used as tube pre) off the grid. Could you please advise which Series should I purchase? Thanks and wishing you best success!
Thanks Vinnie for researching before giving me the answer. Mine is a Patek SE, the same type that Srajan reviewed in 6moons (http://www.6moons.com/audioreviews/audiosector/patek_2.html), so functionally it's similar to a Patek V2.
