Please forgive if I'm not in the correct forum.  Was just wondering if anyone here is familiar with a NYC area store that may stock good (for sound) turntable mats.  I did some google searches and called a few places but nobody seems to carry them.  Thanks in advance!

There should be a few NYC stores that sell TT mats...but you may want to take a blind shot with Herbie's online.

They have a circle here so you can ask the proprietor, Steve, questions about his turntable mats.

I monkeyed around with a few mats over time and the best bar none was the Herbies Way Excellent. Do a search for 'Herbies Audio Labs' and you'll find the website.

Such a little thing can really add to you vinyl enjoyment

Hi, thanks John.  I may look into that -- seems to be highly recommended.  I bought a Analogix Audio Platter Mat from Sound by Singer today.  Was only $30 and came recommended.  However, google returns zero results for it so its either super new or really untested.  We'll see, at least it's guaranteed.  Thanks for the suggestion!
