human ear research Dr. Oskar Heil
« on: 28 Sep 2009, 07:07 pm »
So I came across a review of some of Dr. Heil's speakers, and it mentioned he did significant research about "the human listening apparatus"...I remember years ago reading about this, and from my faded memory I believe it was something along the lines of the ear not being very sensitive to frequency linearity, but rather much more sensitive to time domain accuracies.

Checking various Google searches, I didn't have any luck finding the actual research content or even a link to purchase an article for the content. If any of you guys may no where I can find the specifics of this paper, I'd really appreciate it. I'm not averse to paying a few bucks for it if needed. I'm happy to share the results of whatever we find.

Thanks,

JP

Phil,

All the sites appear to have identical text.

The information is great, but I don't know the original reference source where it came from. Did he publish a book or an article where this was presented? Right now as useful (and truthful) as it is, it's nothing more than gospel without some sort of academic publication or works cited credibility.
