Hi Tubes forever at al.,
Well here is my Piccolo so far.

Tubes, I guess the Black gates "F" are smaller than the "FK"s so I didn?t need to alternate them. How does it look so far ? I?m waiting on the voltage regulator LM2941 to arrive - mine broke !

I use Vitamin Q PIO's on my Piccolo and sounds great too.  Before that, I had Auricap, Jensen, Sprague Bumble Bees, Russian Teflon, Russian PIO, Orange Drops, and Russian PIO.

Very nice work Chris.  You are going to love the Black Gates.  They are a real treat sonically speaking.  They are so darn quiet you are going to hear only the music.

Way to go!  I think the Panasonic power supply caps in the Bugle suppy are outstanding performers.  Others might like batteries or wall warts but the Panasonic Bugle power supply is a very smooth power source and I would not hesitate to recommend it to anyone building a head amp like the Piccolo. 

The F and FK's are the same size if you are running 100uf 25v models.  I like for the caps not to touch, and that's why I am running them up and down.   That's just an old school thing with me.   

The FK's are quieter but I don't know where you can find them now that Percy Audio is out of stock.

You are in for a treat.  The F model I built for my friend sounded very good.  In fact it was at least as tasty sounding as my FK model.  The quieter noise floor with the FK is good for guys like me that like to record stuff to digital.  You hear less in the background which makes for better archival recordings.
