hi everybody,
this my first tme here and kinda hoping to get some insight on this amp i picked up recently at a local flea market.
the gentlemen i got it from bought from jerry raskins stereo shop in dinkytown many,many years ago.
looks to be diy? modified by van alstine at some point?
haven't had a chance to try it out yet,but man, i love those big cans,3"x6" and 61,000 uf each!

This looks like somebody took the AVA PC card and mos-fets from a very early Mos-Fet 150 amplifier (mid 1980s vintage I think) and moved them to a different chassis. Why - - no idea why. It would not make a better amplifier and might have grounding and hum issues.
Oh well.

so,not so much modified as butchered then.

i'll salvage what i can and give the remains a decent burial.
