Hate to "park" my Bent autoformer but starting DC must have merit. Danny where is your volume control...what's this Dodd balanced power supply all about ?

Yes, I did drop some Sonicap Platinum's into my Tranquility DAC. I am still in the long burn in process right now, but initial thoughts were that the resolution came up a small level. Vocals are a little more lush or musical too. I also sent some of those caps to Eric and they are going to try them as well.

My volume control is right there on my buffer. I even have a matching remote.

Hard to believe improvement could go any higher, the dB was incredible even with my dreaded 100w ice amps.....they never sounded better.....incredibly, well, analog.

It would be great if new owners of the SVs could chime in if their new speakers would be available for audition.

I'll be on my way to Houston come Jan......Dallas is more logical than "WES TEXASS".....is Gary available ?......anyone near Houston ? or points between ?

Yeah, it wasn't very loud at all.  Had to get very close to hear it.
I got the tranquility DAC yesterday, hooked everything up last night, and by 2 am, it was making a very favorable impression.  I posted more about my inititial impression on that thread that reviewed the Dac.

I need to get a better usb cable. Do you use ridge street, or what?

I am using the Ridge Street entry level USB for the moment. It was a loaner. I have one of his top level USB cables on order.

Very, very good.

I also just got in the Ridge Street Audio Alethias USB cable and first impressions are that the cable took it up a notch too.

Dear Danny,

Does Ridge Street Audio burn-in the Alethias before delivery or does it need burn-in when you get it? I have one on order, but they are really busy over there, and I thought you might know. Robert wrote something to me about doing a burn-in before shipping, but I couldn't tell if that was only preliminary Q/C vs. the full amount needed.

Thanks!

I am pretty sure it goes through a heavy burn in plus a cryo treatment.

Any thoughts on running the entire system on batteries?
Mac and Dac?

Talk about a clean green system :)

One good thing about this design is it eliminates the need to do things like that. One 15 watt 2 channel tube amp was all we needed to drive them at last years show.

Plus, textbook style filters are going to work with this speaker. So any active crossover would have to be custom designed based one measured acoustic outputs.

Ok, I see the configuration issue. Which subwoofer amplifier model are you using for this Kit?
