All:

I may be a moron but I did NOT know this existed.  Or maybe I did, and forgot.  BUT. . .

Phish has a site: http://livephish.com

They have EVERY show here.  ALL of them.  Even the NEW YEARS shows!!!  Which I heard were smokin'!

The Greensboro show in March was THE best Phish show I have seen in ten years.  And in 20 minutes for $12.95, I am listening to it on the system.  GREAT SBD too.  Compressionless FLAC format.  Perfect for Foobar2k.  They have mp3's for $9.95. . but.  .why. . . ?  hehehe

Anyhow, check it out. . .

Not a moron, just a little slow...

 :stupid:

Obviously, you know I am kidding B.

I love the fact that I can download shows that I have been to.

Of course, everybody should go and see Phish at least once live   8)

G:

I'm jealous though.  They usually never go all out in Greensboro like in NY, or always Hampton.  But this particular show was the final of the tour, and the tour was the first coming off the "break".  Man, they just killed it. . .

Anyhow, I can only imagine hearing this on the RM-40's in your HUGE room!!!

B,

I haven't listened to any of the downloaded shows on the big system (just my Ipod or work system).

I can say that ALL of the Phish cd's do sound very, very good in the main system.

I am a relative rookie when it comes to Phish shows having only seen around 20-25.  Some of my friends have seen that many on single leg of a tour.

Hehe. . Damn. .

Next you're going to tell me you were at MSG on Halloween in '94.  And that's just going to piss me off. .

Nahh. . Seriously, I see them when I can, but they play your neck of the woods much more than mine. . .

Nope, just my brother and his friends...

Back in '94 I was too interested in seeing DMB and Blues Traveler.

You are right, between here and Boston I had lots of chances to see them.

I also was lucky enough to catch a few New Years runs at MSG  8)

Don't listen as much as I used to, but have seen many, many a show, and traded a rediculous amount of tapes in the past.  A lot of money went for going to shows in the past, from living in VT, to the Wetlands, to the giant festivals..  Favorite times seeing them were always with the Giant Country Horns..

Its been nice that they both are releasing shows, and offering them in multiple formats, and that taping is still allowed at the same time..  I used to 'keep up' with all shows, tape trees, etc, but time for those such things hasn't existed in a long, long time.  Outside of going to Saturday Night Live the last time they were on, the last time I caught a show was I think the 1997 NY's run.

I'd almost say that they don't 'do it' for me like they used to, but I think its more that I haven't seen them live in a long time.  I felt that way before I walked into NBC Studios for the Saturday Night Live show, but the second they started playing, I was excited and full of energy again...  Still prefer the old to the new though..

A couple friends and traveled down to the New Years 4 day event in Miami (from Kansas City).  They were some good shows.  They even had P.Funk come out and play a couple songs with them.  BTW, you can also find live shows for download on etree.org.  They are all "taped from the audience", but still good quality.
