Thank you Bill.  By the way, the pictures I saw of your Purity Preamp look absolutely fabulous!!  :thumb:

You are also spot on about priorities.  It just makes it that much sweeter when one can get back to their hobbies.

Thanks again for all of your positive comments.  I am currently listening to the Concertgebow Orchestra playing Rachmaninov's Symphonic Dances with a big-ass grin on my face!  :thumb:

Hi!

That is Rosewood?  I thought it was Cocobolo.  Beautiful speakers!

Hi Dave:

Yes, the veneer is indeed Rosewood (Pau Ferro).  The lighting with the outside pictures was really very wierd when I shot them.  I didn't have alot of time either.  It wasn't more than 15 minutes after I brought the speakers back indoors that it started to rain!  The veneer is actually not that dark.  I would say that the colors are sort of in between the inside pics and the outside pics.

BTW, I will post my impressions on the TRT's in more detail after I live with them for a while with my new amp and pre.  So far it has been a very nice hooneymoon!! :D  I only see it getting better as everything starts settling in.

So what are the spec's of the TRT, how do they measure and how much do the built ones cost? Mr. Craig has not updated the Selah site yet.
Thanks...

$2,600-$3,500/pr. depending on the cabinets you choose. Feel free to email for the specifications.

I very much appreciate your comments on my DIY build.  These are my first attempt at building speakers from a kit.  I have my TRT's about 3-4 feet out from the back wall and maybe 2-3 feet out from my side walls.  They are rear ported, however, if you read previous threads on the TRT, Rick specifically states that a sealed version can be built as well.  I am driving them with tube amplification (KT-88's) and the bass is very fast and accurate.

The AirCirc Tweeter is great as well.  This is a very non-fatiguing sound.  I can actually crank up the sound for different genres of music and keep it there for extended periods of time.   I also like the sound when I have to have low volume listening sessions.

drcruz:

I have not weighed my speakers.  However, I did add substantial weight by addition of two extra side panels.  I am on vacation in Colorado for a week.  When I get back I will weigh the TRT's and post at that time.

Thanks for your comments.  I believe Rick made me his delux crossovers.  But is has been so long, I honestly cannot remember.  When I get back from Colorado. I will look at the original order.

Bunky

I noticed that you have ordered an NS-40 from Blair at Nightshade.  I am driving my TRTs with an NS-60 SE from Nightshade.

Randy,
You spoke highly of the Lorelies which I also liked when I heard them at RMAF.  How would you compare with your TRT's? Thanks.

The TRTs have a superior woofer (revelator instead of an older scanspeak one) and two of them so I highly doubt this is a fair comparison.
