Yes I agree. Stereophile is not tha last word on what is good out there. Let's see an update on what our best company can do now. Let's play with a "SQUARE" deck !

Page 77 - Bryston BDA-1 DAC - Class K

Class K is "Keep your eye on this product.  Class K is for components that we have not reviewed (or have not finished testing), but that we have reason to believe may be excellent performers..."

If I'm correct, they've had a BDA-1 for a while, but haven't published the review yet?

If the BCD-1 is Class A, I can't imagine the BDA-1 not also being Class A.

I have not seen the Magazine yet so I was just reporting what a customer sent me.  Yes they have had a BDA-1 for over 6 months and the reviewer purchased it so I do expect a good rating.

That's correct!  Stereophile is not the last word.  Specially if we don't see our gears in the A list.  Our thought process protects us from anxiety.  The mind is a beautiful thing!  Having said that:  In my mind, ALL Bryston gears are all in the class A list for excellent value, performance and reliability.   A+ for customer service.  Bua ha ha ha ha
