I live in B.C. and there seems there are NO dealers in PMC here. I really wish otherwise...  :bawl:

I have to agree with the reviews comments about how good the PMC speakers are, especially the CB6i centre.

I brought my first pair of speaker's at the start of 2008, a pair of PMC FB1+. Very glad the store I walked into had them to demo, I'd never heard of PMC before.  (I've had the good fortune to hear the FB1+ with the Bryston B26 and 4B SST. Bryston and PMC work so well together, Bryston open up and controlled the speakers so well. Bryston is on the shopping list!)

Anyway that was a year ago and I was now looking at upgrading, something with a bit more punch in the bottom end. I spoke to the store, importer (in Australia) and PMC about my options. (size of my room, budget all the normal things)

I narrowed it down to a pair of PMC PB1i for the Front/Right and the CB6i for the centre. I couldn't demo this time around as the there was none in the country!

So I took a leap of faith and ordered them. Boy glad I did, I'm still flying!

I moved my humble FB1+ to the rear and moved the new bad boys in. I'm currently running them all with a Cambridge Audio 640R, 100W per/channel, but man do they punch! (Upgrade will be happening in time)

First listening session was amazing, the PB1i are special speakers. Going from 2 ways to 3 ways has made a huge difference. I now understand how much more detail you get out of a 3 way speaker. Having had the experience of running in the FB1+ (they just get better and better, even after 6mths the sound was improving) I knew it would take time for them to loosen up and find their groove.
I've watched the Transformers on Blu-ray with them with its monster sound track and special effects what an epic movie. Even with no sub in the system the PB1i shook the room, but the clarity and dynamic range coming from the CB6i made hearing the dialogue a breeze. I feel very fortunate to have such capable speaks at my disposal, I never get tired of listening to them. They're such a neutral and honest sound. Not harsh in anyway. (Well not in my humble opinion)

I'd like to thank Bryston / PMC for creating some phenomenal equipment for us consumers to enjoy and marvel at. Keep up the great work!

Cheers Q

I like that Pioneer BDP-LX91 Blu-ray Player very much!  I have the BDP-09FD.

If anyone looking for the LX91 player here in US, it is BDP-09FD.  The LX91 is the European model and they are both identical.

Just got back from Edmonton,THCX :thumb:,grand opening saturday.
They had a few PMC speakers there OB1-i+TB2-i,
MBS-2 on route,JBL arrays and Thiels. They also have home automation, calibration set ups ect.
Nice guys, they have this server loaded up with movies and the remote(with screen) could look after a bunch of different rooms, kids room ect.all at a touch of a button, you could put on a movie in another room.
The remote showed the list of the movies they put in and it also showed the  dvd cover.I must be old fashioned somewhat but if you had 1/2 dozen rooms or more you can control the lighting, sound, picts,I just found it very fun and interesting to see it all work.Brad the VP goes fishin up where I live so maybe I can get him to stop over and take a peak at my big room to see if I can get more out of her.He also has a mess of Bryston 7B-ssts & a Macintosh pre.
So the future is gettin brighter all the time.

Hi Levi,No the MB2s are on the road(coming soon to a room near me)
I now can at least with my own music check them out and start visualizing again.
I NEED A BIGGER ROOM,the boys at THCX were quite taken as to how much gear I had in my closet. They had a room that was just a hair bigger than mine and I
could hear that space I like so much when you go to the theatre or audio rooms.
I'm e-mailing THCX today and I'll send him some picts to see what, for now i can do to my room to give me more.He does come up this way so if i can get him over here that also would help tremendously.
I was thinking of moving all my racks over to the other side so the front would
have just the speakers +28s +subs in front, that way my 50as will be away from the side walls a bit.

Exactly. That's how I have my equipment. No racks between the speakers.
