empire 208 tonearm geometry
« on: 11 Sep 2009, 05:32 pm »
I have an Empire 208 and would like to mount a Rega type arm.
Does anyone have a template or can someone tell me where to get the info. I have a Wallytractor set up for my OL Silver and I have never mounted an arm to a plinth having to figure out the geometry.
Thanks
Richard

Hi,
The standard mounting distance for Rega arms is 222mm, so you can mount their arms anywhere on a 222mm radius from the spindle centre. However, Origin Live specify 223mm for their arms.

If Wally made you an arm specific protractor you should use the mounting distance it was designed for - I presume it's written somewhere on it?
