B&W's are also a good match for Bryston.  I think the 805's go for less than $3K.

Yeah, I think there's a good deal to be had on B&W's in Newfoundland right now....

I really appreciate a great sense of humour - it makes the world go round :thumb:

If they were the Rosenut or Cherry finish (anything other than Black Ash....they wouldn't be for sale anymore

Keith

But I like Black Ash...

Be well...

Wanna buy a set of 802s

Thanks everyone for their input.  There is a B&W dealer here in town although, I'm not very fond of the dealer.

Kevin

What does that have to do with auditioning a set of speakers?  You don't have to buy them from him/her, you just have to put up with him/her long enough to decide if B&W is right for your situation.

I concur.

Hi

I've found for many years that Thiel loudspeakers  and Bryston amps are very synergistic and truest to the sound of live instruments.  Especially  with cables by Nordost and/or Transparent.

Dave,

do you know the JBL 4430? if not, take a look at Google and let me know what you think, please.

thanx,

al.

ps.: these speakers were built by JBL for about 20 years!

al,

Yes, I'm familiar with those. Excellent speaker. They have stood the test of time. They have a softer top end than the other JBL monitors.

However, the 4348s are the better speaker. I don't believe they are available in North America though. I just asked JBL if we can special order them here. If not, you can order them from Kenrick Sound in Tokyo, Japan. However, the shipping cost to North America is around $2,000.

On the other hand, the 4430/35's will cost you less usually...
