I am the 2nd owner and these have been updated to the MXe from MX last year. As many of you know, these speakers have a cult following and are very well reviewed in shows (year after year) and by their owners. These also come with the lead-free, higher powered battery, SuperBAM, which also has balanced connections ($500 option).
And, I also have a pair of Merlin custom made "balancing blocks" ($80 value) used to minimize the probability of speakers tipping. Photos available upon request.ondition: 7/10 (it's closer to 8/10, but will rate at 7/10 as a result of age as I purchased almost 4 years ago); a small nick that Bobby fixed; a couple of marks on the tweeter plates caused by sticker/foam removal. Otherwise, the speakers are well-cared and have been in non-smoking, child-less environment. The "black marks" you see on the tweeter plates are adhesive-backed velcro strips I use with felt-pads from diffractionbegone-dot-com.
