TONEAudio issue 23 ready for download...

Hello All:

Issue 23 is ready for download!

As with our last issue, if you want it to download fast, click here
for a 19MB file:

If you'd like it in hi res, it's a doozy, we've got a ton of pictures in
this issue, so it's 140mb.

We gave the AC forum members and others a look at the Beatles remasters article last week, because we wanted to get the info out right away, but there are quite a few reviews, other goodies and we did our first "Oddities" issue. Rather than argue about the best 100 records, I asked our writers to come up with a few of their favorite records that are off the beaten path.

Hopefully it will lead you to a new, fun record or two.

And, we've got some coverage of the Montreux Jazz Festival...

As always, thanks for reading!

A very impressive accomplishment, Jeff and staff.
Rational, balanced, informative, entertaining and insightful. Great pix are a bonus.
Your review of the Beatles remasters makes me want to buy them all - mono and stereo.
Thanks for your efforts.

Thanks!

The Beatles discs really are pretty special.  For me, I'm buying the Monos, and the other few stereos to round out the collection, as I prefer the mono mixes.  But they are both excellent and I know just as many people who prefer the stereo mixes!

Jeff,

A class act once again. I always download your HDX version, since I am lucky enough to have a 22 inch LCD monitor. The pictures are glorious! What camera do you use?

My favorite part was the end, the section called, 'Slummin.' Back in the day, my favorite loudspeaker budget wise was the Paradigm Mini Mk III. It wasn't accurate, but it could really boogie. A little rolled off on the top, and with a bumped up bass (higher port tuning), it made a lot of us college fellas 'Slammin'

Best,
Anand.

Just finished reading the issue. Really great, especially the section on favorite obscure recordings.
Way better than a list of recordings to die listening to.
