#1 Do you have any idea how long it took to go through 200 pics with a ten year old?
#2 Do you have any idea how long it took to upload 24 pictures to my gallery?
#3 Do you have any idea how much space it took from my gallery?

Bob - the next lesson to teach your son is panning.  You can some speed photos with the background blurred and the car in focus.  Actually, I've never tried panning with a digital camera, but have done it many times with a film camera.

Not quite as much fun, but in May of each year 100+ university Formula SAE teams from all over the world show up at MIS for a 4-day design competition.  I think there is a track in Wisconsin that hosts a variety of sports car events, but I can't think of the name.

I think there is a track in Wisconsin that hosts a variety of sports car events, but I can't think of the name.

Wisconsin - Road America in Elkhart Lake.  There is a big vintage event usually the 3rd week in July, and also a smaller (but more relaxed) event in the spring and the early fall (September or early October).  It is about an hour from Milwaukee.

There are also several tracks within a short drive of Chicago.

The only other Wisc. road course I can think of is the Milwaukee Mile, a combination oval and road course.

I'm not much of a photographer myself, so don't take my criticism too seriously.  But I do have one suggestion...

With all the innocence and audacity that comes with being ten, you would have had no problem convincing some "HOT" volunteer models to pose along side the cars.  Then you'd really being showing your old man how it's done! 

Other than that, nice work.  You're off to a great start.

That would be very cool Mr, Chaser. However, the best looking piece of meat there was "Thunderbrick".
And that wasn't that damn pretty. 
Besides, anything that my son would be interested in would be considered jail-bait for you. 

maybe a "show and tell" with the "hotties" at the local intermediate school?

Someone mentioned the Milwaukee Mile. A great event there is the "Millers at Milwaukee" Vintage Indy Car Meet in mid-July. It is a gathering of pre-WWII Indy cars, mostly with some connection to builder Harry Miller.
