Some of this improvement may be jitter and not fixing Core Audio problems.  The only way to tell is to compare with Off-Ramp and Pace-car both.  If Pace-Car sounds the same with OSX and Leopard, then it is just jitter improvements.

Are you saying that Snow Leopard may improve jitter numbers?  And if so why is that considered "just jitter"?  Isn't that a good thing, regardless?

Jitter reduction is interesting if the device you are using is somehow sensitive to jitter.  The Pace-Car is not.  Also, if jitter reduction is the main effect, then Amarra is still worthwhile.  Other reports indicate that the difference in Leopard iTunes versus Leopard iTunes with Amarra is still significant and the same magnitude as before.  This points more to jitter reduction than improvements in Core Audio.
