Kernel streaming question

How do I "by-pass" kernel streaming on my PC that uses an XP operating system?
I use slimserver for flac audio playback...

asio4all is the driver to use in place of XP's kmixer

XP Audio setup guide from Benchmark Audio

Steve Nugent Empirical Audio has writtten advice in various places on the web and here on AC.

Thanks richidoo...
I have installed Asio4all in my Foobar components file and I think it is working as I have the Green icon in the system tray.
But does this work when I use the softsqueeze player as well or do I have to do something else

I thought that because the Slimdevice is a network device, Kmixer was avoided anyway?

Are you trying to use both Squeezecenter and another application for streaming at the same time?

Thanks Mark, good to hear from you  :D

No I'm  not trying to run both at the same time, but just I wanted to create a level playing field to do a comparison between the 2 players with my PC's hard drive and flac files as a source.
In my original post I should have said "softsqueeze" instead of "slimserver"

I didn't realize that the  softsqueeze app. bypassed the kmixer automaticly, I thought that I had to go into my PC's settings to "turn it off"
