This DIY kick has grabbed me. If anything, it made me more focused on how little you get quality wise for under $2k. It is rare that good parts are used.
I have ordered "Loudspeaker design cookbook" and LOUDSPEAKER RECIPES VOL. 1 "four 2 way speaker projects" both by Vance Dickason.
I am interested in one day making a two way or MTM two way sealed box system. I want to build in from scratch. I think using Hiquphon tweeter and maybe scan-speak or seas mids I can make an exception sounding design that would rival the best.
Again, I am looking for that ATC scm-12 sound, so I may use ATC mids, except in MTM format.
