Selling my Omega Super 8s

Just wanted to let folks know that I've made the tough decision to sell my Super 8 Aperiodic speakers.   :(  I'm sorry to leave the Omega fold, but I need to plow the proceeds into upgrading my home theater system. They are up on Audiogon. Sorry if this note is inappropriate here. I thought some might be interested in picking up a well cared for used pair of Omegas. Many thanks to Louis for his wonderful speakers and wonderful customer service.

Impressions of Omega Super 8s Versus Original A8s

Charlie-

I have a pair of A8s that I purchased about the same time as you. I'm curious to know your impressions of the 8" hemp alnico driver in these cabinets versus the Visitons, as I'm been considering making the switch. If Louis sees this, maybe he could comment as well. I've been very happy with the A8s, but would like to get a little bit more bass out of them. Thanks, John

If I am not mistaken Zybar upgraded the A8s from the Visaton to the Hemp, you may want to ping him as well.

I upgraded mine to the 8" Hemp Alnico drivers, and I am very pleased with the results.  More detail, smoother.  I was able to sell the Visitons on AudioGon, so it was a very painless upgrade.
