The Lead-in:Last Sunday I stopped by our neighbor liquer store for a bottle of wine, the 20 something guy just started the movie
Watchmen to keep him entertained on a slow evening. The movie starts with a Bob Dylan song in the background, I mentioned Arlo Guthrie has a new album out and he gave me a blank stare, then I asked if he has ever heard the song "Alice's Restaurant" and he said no.
The music we grew up with is slowly becoming irrelivant to the ipod generation. The small glimmer of hope I see are kids buying crates of vinyl at record fairs. I wonder what these young-uns thought of all the Woodstock press? I'll have to find one and ask.
The Story:
From NPR: A couple of cops (in their early 20's) on the beat in Long Branch, N.J., came across a guy wandering around a dicey neighborhood. They asked the man for his ID. He told them he didn't have it on him, but that his name was Bob Dylan. The officers had no idea who that was.
