What 3 day music festivals have you been too?

With all the Woodstock news lately I was wondering what 3 day rock festivals other folks have been to. I didn't make it to Woodstock but a year later on April 24-26, 1970 I was at Sound Storm Festival at York Farm in Poynette, WI with 50,000 crazed music lovers. The acts included The Grateful Dead, Crow, Illinois Speed Press, Rotary Connection, Baby Huey & the Babysitters, Minnie Ripperton, Luther Allison, US Pure, Wilderness Road, and Mason Proffit.

I was a senior at Stout University in Menomonie, Wisc. at the time and had my Mom's red Dodge Dart (students with cars were very rare in 1970). We drove to Madison on Thursday and stayed at an apartment with a bunch of young women. Early Friday morning we drove to the festival, jumped a fence and sneaked in. We all sat on a hill side and watched the place fill up. I didn't sleep for 2 more days and I think I had a good time.

Photos of the festival by Robert Pulling can be seen here .

The Grateful Dead website also has an archive of photos and newspaper articles here.

Met my (now) wife at the 3 day Frog Island Music Festival in Ypsilanti, MI, back in the early 90's. We were each there alone and met by chance. Since then we've been back there, and then Music Midtown in Atlanta for several years.

lets see.  Some of these were 4 day events while all the Phish fests were two day affairs.

7 Phish camping fests
3 gathering of the Vibes
3 Beirkshire Mountain Music Fests
2 moe.down
2 Bonnaroo 07 and 09
1 Adarondak Mtn music fest

Plus another 10 or so smaller events with mostly local acts (Camp Creek etc)
