about a year ago i built a pair of BiB cabinets for some Veravox 5S drivers, then i bought another pair and made a bipole (not that impressive) and so on. Yesterday had a brain wave, mounted one pair in an OB, then the other firing 'into' the BiB cabinets (surrounded by thick foam to roll off the sound as much from the rear of the driver) and the BiB's placed against the rear walls.
Really supprised how good it sounds, and there does not seem to be too much obvious overlap (apart from some low midrange colouration which i put down to the BiB cabinets) and the levels dont seem too different as well.
A lot more dynamics than i had with just the BiB's on their own or the bipoles.
This might be an idea to carry on and experiment more.
Using the Xbaffle spreadsheet, the OB's are flat to 300Hz (in their current position) then roll off sharply and i have not noticed and over excursion in the OB's so far (not a large room).
