Does anybody know a source for a quality SB3 DC power cord plug?

You could always buy a cable and clip off the wires:

I had some charging cables from R/C stuff I used on mine.

Try Parts Express or Digikey.

Thanks,

I'm not sure which size. I'll see if I can find my metric ruler. It sure would be nice to have a micrometer handy. Hah, I'll Google the conversion to inches and go from there.

My present plug is a hair loose so occasionally I have to fiddle with it to get a good connection.

I think I have a drawer full of cables, with the right connector molded on the end. I'll be out of the office the rest of the week, but check with me later to see what drawer I have them in. Not using them, so if you need any........do me a favor!

That one (3.5mm OD x 1mm ID) fits the Duet. The SB3 needs a 5.5mm OD x 2.5mm ID. like this one http://search.digikey.com/scripts/DkSearch/dksus.dll?Detail&name=CP3-1001-ND .

What's the matter with the stock power cord that comes with the SB3 power supply?

                                   Cheers

Thanks everyone :). Thanks for the links.

Charlie, I built a custom cord but just used a plug from my electrical junk pile which didn't fit perfectly. I'm using a linear PS. Finally I tired of putting up with skipouts so this time I'll use the right plug. I didn't want to use the stock PS plug in order to keep the cord stock.

Yo my Buds!!!

I have a stock PS for the SB3. Send me $10.00 For cost of shipping and it's yours.

Or!! Or!!!
I have an Elpac WMO75-1950 PS that was modded by wayne1 of the Bolder cable Co. Send me $65.00 including shipping for it and it's yours.

No turning back once you get a decent PS for an SB3. Take my word for it. Hey!!! Do you think I'd B.S. you!!

                                  Cheers

Thanks Chris.  I remember now that I ordered two different ends to make a cable for between a customers CI supply and the Duet, not the SB3, duh!   :duh:

Thanks for the clarification.  It was a one-off project which is why I couldn't remember.
